Executive Director, Mirnahill Foundation and Finance Operations, Stellar Ventures

Hillary Murphy first got involved with SCORES through her family’s foundation, the Mirnahill Foundation, where she serves as Executive Director. “Around 2018, we honed our mission around providing more equitable access to quality youth sports programs and all of the physical, mental, and emotional health benefits that youth sports experiences can bring,” she explains. SCORES, with its track record and wide reach across the Bay Area, stood out in early conversations, and Mirnahill began funding the organization during the start of the pandemic. “We love the depth and comprehensive aspects of the program. It’s more than just soccer. It’s soccer, poetry, service learning, and community building,” she says.

Since then, Hillary, who also manages finance operations at Stellar Ventures, has become increasingly involved with SCORES, attending virtual events and in-person Game Days and touring local turf fields installed as part of SCORES’ Field of Dreams initiative, before joining the SCORES Executive Board in May of 2024.

Hillary grew up in Portola Valley and played various sports until zeroing in on volleyball, which she played through college at Princeton. There she earned her BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering. She later earned a Certificate in Sports Philanthropy from George Washington University Graduate School of Business, before taking on the lead role at the Mirnahill Foundation.

Hillary is also a vinyasa yoga instructor in San Francisco. She lives with her family in San Francisco.
