Program Coordinator in Marin and Oakland

Kevin Calderon was born in the small town of Cruces in Guatemala and moved to the US at age five. Part of a big supportive family, Kevin and his parents initially moved into his aunt’s house in Richmond, CA. The move was transformative, and Kevin credits Richmond (and his family’s engaged presence) for teaching him resilience, maturity, the value of hard work and of plenty of outdoor play.

A move to San Rafael followed, where Kevin played competitive soccer and attended San Pedro Elementary school and Davidson Middle School, both of which are now part of the America SCORES Bay Area. This thrills Kevin, who now serves as program coordinator working both in Marin and Oakland. He’s concurrently pursuing a degree in Finance at SF State.

In his spare time, Kevin loves to do magic tricks (the wonder is the best part), spend time with his family, and go surfing.
