When you’re shy, you keep some of the world at bay. It can feel too much, too big, and too scary, especially if you’re a kid. Anthony Spears felt that way as a young boy. Anthony expressed his shyness through his voice. As a selective mute, he spoke only to his immediate family. But that all changed when he joined the America SCORES after school program at E.R. Taylor in San Francisco.
